MEET THE TEAM

Simon Philips

Simon has been involved in a depth of fields prior to settling on architecture, gaining experience in mechanics, draughtsmanship, labouring and architecture. This passion was ignited by his involvement in his uncles home built project.

Once Simon decided to pursue architecture he spent time at a range of architectural firms across the globe. Starting off at a small practise in Croydon, he then travelled to Texas over the summer of 2016 and went on to gain experience at Harwood International on a 6 week internship.

Emily Rebecca Smith

After choosing to leave an Economics degree Emily was drawn to Architecture due to its vast yet also direct social potential. She has a strong interest in bottom-up projects where the end users are the drivers towards an improved future; she has spent time witnessing this through volunteering in housing co-ops and small scale festivals.

Sophia Major

Moving from Frankfurt, Germany's low key financial centre, to the bustling and ethnically diverse metropolis of London in the mid 2000s, Sophia gained first hand insight into the cultural and social interactions that give each city its unique characteristics. Cities are complex systems that are constantly evolving and becoming more unpredictable in a globalised world where they are increasingly the engines of growth and innovation but also breeding grounds of poverty and deep inequality. Sophia intends to use the disciplines of Architectural design and of personal experience to create urban spaces that help deliver social justice and defend diversity.

David Adesanya

Growing up David strived to develop his skills so that he could inspire and encourage his society and community, bringing a light to those who always kept their head down and also enlightening his own self to new aspects of life he had never of imagined. This has taken him across the world researching with new bio-technology in Los Angeles, developing conversations between the East and West in Beijing and disrupting the approach to how architecture responds/prevents the influx of refugees to dier environments in Italy. David draws from these works but also brings along the stories of cultures so far removed providing an uncanny perspective to reality and hopefully a truth unrecognised.
